This coming weekend, Veronika Illés will be our guest, and she will introduce us to the secrets of lace-making. Lace is a finely patterned fabric, characterised by the fact that the pattern is not applied to the finished fabric afterwards, but is created as the fabric itself is being made. Lace-making has a long history, and there are two basic types: sewn lace and bobbin lace. Lace-making has been included in the Hungarian Heritage Register and thus bears the title of ‘outstanding national treasure’. Come and try your hand at this craft with us!

At Katica Farm, alongside our traditional programmes, we also embrace modern, environmentally conscious solutions! We only carry out developments that do not consume energy; and if they do, we are able to generate the necessary amount ourselves. In keeping with our eco-conscious approach, you will find, for example, electric go-kart track, as well as a solar farm and wind turbines.

Don’t forget, we’re less than an hour’s drive from the southern shore of Lake Balaton. If you’ve had enough of Balaton, why not pop over to Patca, where over 100 attractions await you, both indoors and outdoors

Our gastronomic offer: Celery cream soup – Rosemary-crusted duck leg with braised cabbage – Chocolate dara soufflé with a wild berry sauce
