The Katica Tanya is Hungary's leading experiential outdoor and indoor play facility for three generations, with a focus on free play-learning, environmental awareness and tradition.

We believe that spending time in nature is an irreplaceable experience for everyone. Hands-on work, craft activities, skill exercises, learning about the daily life of a working farm and sharing these experiences together provide countless opportunities to increase self-awareness, develop team spirit, improve communication and build relationships with colleagues.

For whom do we recommend team building at Ladybird Farm?

We offer experiential team building opportunities for companies, institutions, small and large businesses, professional associations. It is important for employees to break out of their everyday routine tasks and work together on tasks outside of their common work. The informal format ensures that new teams can bond and old teams can experience new things. Participants get an insight into their own and their peers' abilities, find out who is the best organiser, who is the strongest and who is the funniest. The team members can release all their tension during tasks that require strength and ingenuity, get out in the open air and discover the beauty of rural, medieval life.

The following team building packages are food for thought. Any of them can be chosen, but they can also be combined with other games:

Team Building Package I - Programmes that mobilise our bodies and senses

In our experience, team forging is first about getting out of your comfort zone physically. After having experienced mostly fresh air, and after completing tasks that require some physical exertion and movement, participants can become more open and relaxed. Most common games:

• Fun folk games:
  • we are looking for the strongest and most skilful team or person in the region, the Peasant Olympian(s).
  • rope pulling, Toldi's test of strength, stepping in multi-person „plank shoes”, running in a sack:
  • log splitting, angle mixing, stone and driftwood bending
  • baking bread or langallo and baking in the oven - good performance will be important for the group, as the principle of „who cooked (baked) what, eat it” will apply.
  • milking cows, animal care tasks - the animals tolerate this well, they are used to it!
• jousting, fighting, archery, throwing battle stars in the 13th century castle
  • You could even organise a full siege. Kaloda, deres, torture chambers are also available - but only in one way!
• Electric go-karts - with exclusive track access
• A range of indoor and outdoor games can be used for team tasks
  • be it a sliding record on one of the slides or an obstacle race in the adult climbing and play house.

Team Building Package II - Spirituality and intellectuality

We also include exercises and games to develop team spirit and communication, conflict resolution, leadership skills, self-awareness and getting to know each other. Once we know their exact needs, we will work with the client to design the proposed program with the help of a qualified team coach and trainer. Some of the exercises are not exhaustive:

• ingenious puzzles (devil's cottage, puzzle, 15-20 minute „mental gymnastics” game elements)
• MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator - self and co-worker self-awareness and personality type assessment with a trained trainer
• Strengths Finder - methodology - who is good at what and how can they benefit the team? with a qualified team coach

Accommodation for team building

The Katica Tanya has 2 winterized cottages (both with 8 rooms, shared bathroom, toilet, kitchen and lounge) with 4-12 beds in bunk rooms. In addition, from spring to autumn, we have a total of 6 family apartments (2 and 3-bedroom houses) with 14 additional rooms for our guests. Pictures from here you can find.

• Tourist cottage with exclusive use (8 rooms): from 139 500 Ft
• Katica Porta for exclusive use (8 rooms): from 65 000 Ft
• Chalets: pricing on request
• Apartments: from 26 000 HUF/house (~6 500 HUF/person/night).

If required, we recommend the services of the 23-room Hotel Kardosfa***, located 8.5 km from Katica Tanya, and other accommodation partners.

Catering for team building

The hot kitchen and restaurant in the Katica Tanya Experience Centre is ideal for all kinds of catering needs, whether it's a simple meal, lunch or a hot dinner after a night hike. Example package:

• Preparation: 1390 Ft/person/per day (potato/cheese scones, mineral water, coffee/tea)
• Breakfast: 1450 HUF/person
• Lunch: 4390 HUF/person
• Dinner: 2 790 HUF/person
