St Michael’s Day and a fabulous weekend at Katica Farm
This weekend we celebrate St Michael’s Day, a farmers’ festival known throughout Europe. This day marks an important turning point in the agricultural year; in the Great Plain and around Eger, it marks the start of the grape harvest. On St Michael’s Day, the livestock that had been driven out to pasture on St George’s Day were brought back from the pastures.
To mark the occasion, we look forward to welcoming visitors with storytelling and other themed activities. We make stones that embody kindness and mischief, and you’ll also have the opportunity to in a test of courage to stand one’s ground, and We’ll tell a story, and you’ll have to work out which characters from the story you are.
In dry weather, it offers a great opportunity to electric go-kart our track, where speed enthusiasts can indulge their passion, or the Wanderingnk, where it is left to your imagination whether you simply look for a way out, or immediately picture the Minotaur as well. Even if the heavens were to open up, you needn’t worry about getting bored, because our indoor play areas They capture the interest of all age groups and provide a welcome break from the potential monotony of everyday life.
